McLaren Medical Group - Bay Region seeks a Locum Emergency Medicine physician

This assignment is strictly onsite. There is no call associated with Emergency Medicine. Shift times are:0600 - 1600
0900 - 2100
1400 - 0000
2000 - 0600

JOB DETAILS:

Reason for Locum Coverage: Recruitment Gap
Patients per day: total 80 day 1.8 patients per hour for physicians
Staff Support: APP 12 hours full ED support with nursing and tech full radiology full lab
Current EHR in use: Cerner

Procedures/Skills Required:

Family Medicine Procedures/Skills: Adult Outpatient Pediatric-General Outpatient Newborn resuscitation Orthopedic-Non-displaced fractures Suturing of minor lacerations Incision & Drainage Psychiatric-Uncomplicated adult Psychiatric-Uncomplicated child/adolescent Psychiatric-Uncomplicated geriatric Diagnosis & management of common industrial-related medical problems Ventilation management-establishing & maintaining an airway; various modes of ventilation for up to 24 hrs w/o pulmonary consultation Evaluation & management of acute volume/BP issues Central Line Arterial Line EKG Interpretation Arthrocentesis Lumbar puncture Paracentesis EM related procedures

Expenses:

No Flights travel must be in line with McLaren/AHSA Travel Policy

Does NOT reimburse Med Staff Fees

No lodging booked through 3rd party websites ie expedia kayak etc

McLaren is tax exempt and will not reimburse taxes on lodging

Rates to Submit: Malpractice must be included in rates
Orientation - 1/2 of hourly rate for orientation and training
Hourly - $400/hour
Holiday - 1.5x
OT - 1.5x
Conversion Fee

Site uses reverse billing - provider must clock in/out using DocTime - no timesheets will be approved
Requirement description : ALL MUST BE NOTATED AT TIME OF NAME CLEAR

Board Certified (No BE) will accept IM/FM with minimum of 2 years of recent ED experience - REQUIRED
MI License - Required at time of clear no exceptions - not accepting IMLC - REQUIRED
Certification Requirements: ACLS BLS PALS - REQUIRED
Provider must be local - REQUIRED no exceptions
Must have clean background for quick credentialing - REQUIRED no exceptions

Employee Health Requirement

a. Flu vaccine for 24-25 season

b. Covid documentation - If 24-25 booster has not been received a declination is needed

c. TB - 2 step skin test within 12 months or QuantiFERON within the last 6 months

d. TB Questionnaire

e. Hep B - titer with quantifiable numbers or declination

f. MMR - vaccine series or titers with quantifiable numbers

g. Varicella - vaccine series or titers with quantifiable numbers

h. TDAP - adult vaccine (within the last 10 years)
