Qualifications / Requirements:

• National Diploma/Degree Industrial Mechanical Engineering or Logistics
• Minimum of 3 years Logistics Operations experience within an Automotive environment
• Experience within automotive production and logistics operations environment will be an added advantage)

Essential

• Knowledge of process control and quality management systems
• Computer proficient (Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Project)
• Proficient in SAP system
• Have good analytical and problem-solving abilities have attention to detail
• Able to communicate effectively up to Management level both verbal and written
• Able to improve existing procedures and processes
• Good working knowledge of warehouse and inventory management
• Comprehensive understanding of JIT supply processes
• Good understanding of OHSE requirements and standards

Key Performance Areas:

• Facilitate the achievement of the Departments Financial OHSE quality sustainability and productivity targets through the implementation of appropriate KPIs and related analysis tools and processes as well as the control and measuring of the Logistics Service Provider and other departments performance
• Facilitate the coordination of Logistics activities between various departments and the external Logistics Service Providers
• Support production with investigations regarding any logistics supply and LSP issues
• Monitor Logistics Service Provider) personnel on effective use of the company systems i.e.: SAP
• Institute/implement KPIs checks and balances to ensure that the Logistics Service Provider adhere to prescribed procedures and requirements
• Monitor and measure main processes (KPIS) and ensure agreed targets trends and deadlines are running to an acceptable norm
• Monitor and measure inventory control processes (KPIS) and ensure agreed targets trends and deadlines are running to an acceptable norm in order to control stock adjustments
• Investigate and monitor financial accounts in SAP on a weekly basis and present reports to logistics management and finance management
• Monitor and measure JIT supply processes and investigate any issues regarding supply
