Job Title: API Automation -Rest Assured
Position: Senior Test engineer
Experience: 3-9 Years
Category: Quality assurance/Software Testing.
Main location: Chennai/Bangalore.
Employment Type: Full Time

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Develop execute and maintain automated test scripts using Core Java Selenium and Rest Assured for functional regression and API testing.
Create and manage test plans test cases and test data in collaboration with development teams and other stakeholders.
Integrate test automation scripts into the CI/CD pipeline (using tools like Jenkins Git Maven etc.).
Perform end-to-end testing of web applications and REST APIs ensuring high-quality releases.
Troubleshoot issues with test scripts and the applications being tested.
Perform performance testing for API services using Rest Assured and other performance testing tools.
Document test results log defects and follow through on issue resolution with development teams.
Ensure the automation test scripts follow coding standards and best practices.
Work closely with developers to design develop and execute the automated tests in parallel with development work.
Continuously identify and implement improvements to testing processes and frameworks.
Participate in Agile development sprints attending daily stand-ups sprint planning and retrospective

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Must-Have Skills:
Strong proficiency in UI Automation with Java and selenium framework.
Experience with Rest Assured experience.
Experience with BDD and cucumber framework.
Familiarity with Integrate test automation scripts into the CI/CD pipeline (using tools like Jenkins Git Maven etc.).
Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Education Qualification: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.


Good to have skills:
Banking domain experience
BDD/Ccucmber framework experience
