Primary Responsibilities
Load articles into washers and dryers
Understand and add specified amounts of detergent soap or other cleaning agents Operate the washer and dryer controls
Clean the lint in the dryer filters twice a day
Transfers all linens already in the washer to the dryer immediately upon completion of the first washing cycle put a new load in the washer and performs the basic duties upon completion of the first drying cycle
Ensures that all storage & laundry rooms are locked before clocking out
Removes laundry from chutes & carts; presorts linens to locate stained or torn items Maintain count of discarded items
Fold & stack towels sheets and other linens
Clean storeroom & laundry area
Process damaged linen
Make sure there are enough linens per floor and stocks each floor
Other duties as assigned
