Job Summary

Summary:
We are seeking a proactive Manager HR Operations (Compliance) to lead essential HR functions within our established Slag Management and Metal Recovery operations based in Kolkata. This role is central to maintaining rigorous compliance standards optimizing employee lifecycle processes and ensuring alignment with labor regulations and industrial relations protocols. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in HR operations within industrial settings such as metal recovery mining or material handling with a strong focus on compliance process efficiency and regulatory adherence. This position presents a strategic opportunity to influence HR practices that drive operational excellence and sustainability in a high-performance dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment onboarding performance management and offboarding ensuring consistency and compliance.
  • Develop implement and maintain comprehensive compliance frameworks in alignment with labor laws statutory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for HR operations focusing on process standardization documentation and audit preparedness.
  • Act as a primary point of contact between management employees and regulatory authorities on compliance and industrial relations matters.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of statutory returns and maintain complete up-to-date employee records and compliance documentation.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance into daily operations and HR workflows.

Requirements

Requirements:
  • 810 years of progressive experience in HR Operations with a specialized focus on Compliance and Employee Lifecycle Management.
  • MBA in HR or equivalent qualification with a proven background in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated success in end-to-end recruitment including sourcing screening shortlisting and offer negotiation.
  • Proficient in leveraging job portals LinkedIn Recruiter and other digital talent acquisition tools.
  • Experience in managing campus hiring lateral hires and large-scale recruitment drives.
  • Exceptional communication interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in HRIS platforms and MS Office including report and dashboard generation.
  • Ability to operate autonomously and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced results-driven setting.
