We are currently hiring a Staff Nurse - Ortho and Surgical for a reputed hospital in Cork Ireland.

Responsibilities
Deliver safe high-quality patient-centred nursing care in the Orthopaedic & Surgical unit in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards.
Assess plan implement and evaluate nursing care for patients undergoing orthopaedic and surgical procedures.
Monitor patients clinical condition and respond appropriately to changes in patient status.
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately as prescribed.
Maintain accurate timely and comprehensive nursing documentation.
Adhere to infection prevention and control policies and promote patient safety at all times.
Communicate effectively with patients families and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Assist with pre-operative and post-operative care wound management pain control and mobilisation.
Support and supervise student nurses and healthcare assistants as appropriate.
Participate in audits quality improvement initiatives and continuing professional development.
Requirements
Registered Nurse with current registration with the relevant Nursing Board (e.g. NMBI or equivalent).
All applicants must have experience working in an acute hospital setting.
Clinical experience in Orthopaedic and/or Surgical nursing is desirable.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Strong communication organisational and time-management skills.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care safety and professional practice.
Availability and flexibility to work days nights and weekends as required.
Evidence of ongoing professional development.
