Mentor
Prevent 2 protect: the adolescent targeted violence prevention project housed in the department of psychiatry Michigan State University is searching for mentors to serve in the Lincoln Park School District. This Mentor will be responsible for engaging with an ensuring services for adolescence identified as being at risk of target violence.
Please note that this position engages with adolescents and their families schools and community agencies in the Lincoln Park School District Michigan. Candidates will be meeting in person with adolescents schools and families and must be willing to travel in/around the county for meetings on a daily basis.
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a bachelors degree in Social Work or a related human services field; up to six months of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in counseling in a health/mental health environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
