Position Summary
Concordia University seeks applicants for an administrative faculty position in the School of Education at the Mequon Wisconsin campus. This is a full-time exempt position with responsibility for directing the Graduate Educational Administration programs. The successful candidate will be a results-oriented academic leader with demonstrated experience in providing vision and direction for K-12 schools as well as experience working in a higher education environment. This is a 12-month position who reports to the Assistant Dean of Curriculum Licensure and Assessment.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide vision direction and overall administration of the programs that lead to #5051 Principal License #5010 Director of Instruction #5003 Superintendent #5008 Business Administrator & Director of SPED and Pupil Services #5080
- Take initiative and implement a student recruitment plan
- Administer and assess student faculty and program data for WI educational administrative programs
- Provide student advising support for all programs
- Align courses to current educational administration requirements incorporating best practices standards instructional materials and tools
- Develop relationships and connections with public and private school partners to create implement and support professional development efforts
- Foster and encouragement enrollment into CUWs doctoral program in Leadership in Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct peer-reviewed research and scholarship and provide service to the university according to standards outlined in the Concordia University faculty handbook
- Provide oversight or assign university supervisor for practicum experiences
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Excellent relational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication organizational and technology skills
- A minimum of three years teaching pupil service and/or administrative experience in a public private or parochial setting
- Working knowledge of the licensing requirements for teachers and administrators in the State of Wisconsin
- Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS)
Education & Experience
- Doctorate in educational leadership/administration or closely related field required
- Pk-12 administrative experience required and licensure preferred
- Experience working in a higher education environment preferred
- Candidates must be Christian and faculty are expected to fulfill the universitys mission to help students develop in mind body and spirit for service to Christ in the Church and the world via teaching scholarship and service
