Position Overview
The Director/ Program Manager provides support to the Sr. Program Manager by managing day-to-day business operations and providing strategic advice ultimately ensuring the project functions efficiently and effectively.
Major Activities (Typical Duties/Responsibilities)
- Serve as a strategic advisor and sounding board to the Sr. Program Manager providing insights and recommendations on key project priorities.
- Assist in the development and execution of the vision mission and strategy for IT/Records infrastructure operations.
- Lead and oversee special projects acting as an extension of the Sr. Program Manager in high-impact initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership guidance and interface management for complex challenges arising within operational and project space with HMIS and other Hanford contractors involving people processes and technology.
- Anticipate project challenges and proactively develop solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Drive proactive solution-oriented collaboration across departments ensuring streamlined communication and effective decision-making to advance strategic initiatives.
- Establish systems structures and communication methods that promote accountability for the projects strategic priorities and major initiatives fostering alignment and transparency across teams.
- Act as deputy/delegate for the Sr. Program Manager ensuring business continuity decisions and communications are made in their absence.
- Manage the project Business Office.
- Ensure adherence and compliance with contract and task order service level agreements deliverables quality and budgets
- Work closely with financial accounting human resources and other key support areas to maximize efficiency

- Visual and communications ability are adequate to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Ability to kneel bend and twist at the waist on an occasional basis.
- Ability to reach below shoulder height with regular frequency (desk position) and at or above shoulder height on occasion.
- Ability to push pull carry and lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and greater weights on an occasional basis.
- Ability to travel by vehicle or aircraft and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree and 8 or more years of experience or an equivalent combination of education training and experience
- Expert project management experience
- Project controls processes and project management software experience preferred
- Ability to pass background and drug screening
- Must have identification compliant with the Real ID Act at time of hire
- Must be able to obtain Department of Energy access badge
- Must have Hanford experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
Pay Rate: 120659.13- 340000.00
