A Day in the Life:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the safe and efficient supervision of day-to-day assigned Protein and/or Packaging production operations department. Support the Production Operations Manager in monitoring and improving plant productivity. Work Schedule: 12-hour rotating shift (48-hour week/36-hour week)

What Youll Be Doing:

Cultivate a safety culture where unsafe acts are not tolerated and employees and management have a common goal of zero injuries.
Ensure assigned shift is compliant with sanitation requirements. May provide support in the monthly sanitation inspections and implementation of any corrective actions as necessary.
Commitment to supply safe food maintain a food safety culture within the site continually improve the sites food safety management system; and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
Provide input during plant annual shutdowns.
Work with the Safety/Environmental Manager to ensure compliance of assigned shift in all aspects.
Help develop and drive Operations Excellence Plans to meet safety quality and production goals and show continuous improvement in assigned shift.
Monitor KPRs and help develop plans to bring assigned shift in line with Operations Excellence goals.
Periodically participate in the daily production meetings to remain informed and ensure that the assigned shift operations activities are aligned.
Participate in personnel investigations and recommend corrective actions as necessary.

Skills/Experience Requirements:

Bachelors degree in industrial engineering manufacturing engineering chemical engineering or related field or equivalent progressive experience of 3 years in soybean crushing oil refining milling oil packaging operations or related and applicable activities in support of industrial operations is required.
Proficiency with basic computer skills including Lotus Notes Microsoft Word and other technical software packages.
Ability to work odd hours weekends and rotating shift schedule required.
