Position Overview

The Tech 1 Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) role is responsible for ensuring the efficiency and operational reliability of the instrumentation and controls that support facility-wide equipment and facility systems through effective Corrective and Preventive (CAPA) Maintenance and Calibration practices and know-how.

What Youll Do

Performs general instrumentation and controls troubleshooting repairs preventive and corrective maintenance to all site equipment systems process measurement and control utility laboratory and bench-top instrumentation
Performs calibrations to instrumentation and controls
Follows standard procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) quality standards
Performs loop checks for new instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
Assists and performs lock out tag out (LOTO) as required to complete I&C/Metrology activities
Adheres to all safety requirements and follows safe work practices
Notifies management or Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) when unsafe conditions or hazards are found
Attends all required and safety and health training
Supports site operations and emergency work orders during off-hours as needed
Performs spare parts assessments as required
Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of electrical instrumentation and mechanical systems
Effective communication both written and oral
Ability to work in a team environment
Must be able to support 24/7 manufacturing facility including shift on-call and weekends

Required Skills

High School Diploma/GED
1-2 years of I&C experience
Experience with tools and equipment used to perform maintenance work

Preferred Skills

Associates degree in Mechanical Electrical or Chemical Engineering or a related field
Prior I&C experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing or other regulated environment
Experience with troubleshooting instrumentation and controls
Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) such as ProCalV5 Blue Mountain Maximo Infor EAM etc.
Experience with Microsoft Office or other computer software
