Job Summary
Chloeta is seeking a GIS Analyst II provides mid-level geospatial support for data analysis map production database administration dashboard development and program workflows. This role assists in DRIS modernization initiatives by supporting enterprise data quality cross-program mapping needs interdisciplinary coordination and fundamental application development. Work includes identifying data gaps determining platform compatibility developing basic dashboards or GIS applications and maintaining metadata standards.
This position is designated as Key Personnel.

Travel: Up to 10% contingent on business needs.
Duties/Responsibilities
Implements analytical techniques to solve recurring procedural and factual geospatial issues including identifying data needs determining compatibility across platforms and locating missing or incomplete information.
Administers geospatial databases and applies established quality control and assurance guidelines to maintain data integrity across DRIS programs.
Participates on interdisciplinary teams with federal agencies regional geospatial coordinators and internal program staff to support mapping and analysis projects.
Applies geographic and cartographic principles interdisciplinary resource management concepts and database design fundamentals to support geospatial data administration and mapping accuracy.
Utilizes standardized geospatial and GIS software/hardware relevant to DRIS and tribal programs including ArcGIS Pro ArcGIS Online ArcGIS Enterprise and related systems.
Develops basic GIS applications and dashboards upon request from leadership supporting situational awareness decision-making and program visibility.
Creates updates and maintains FGDC/DOI-compliant metadata for all GIS projects within the Division ensuring data stewardship and catalog consistency.
Supports map production data validation spatial analysis tasks and general GIS workflows essential to DRISs mission areas including natural resources climate resilience tribal initiatives and land status support.

Proficiency with ESRI technologies (ArcGIS Pro ArcGIS Online Enterprise).
Ability to develop simple dashboards and geospatial applications.
Ability to create structured metadata per federal standards.
Education and Experience
: Bachelors degree in Geography Environmental Science Geomatics Planning Natural Resources or a related field. or Associate degree plus 2 years of directly relevant GIS experience may substitute
: At least Two (2) to Four (4) years of GIS experience
Preferred: ESRI coursework or certifications (ArcGIS Pro AGOL Enterprise)

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
