Job Summary

Ideal candidates must be able and flexible to work one of the assigned shifts:

Coating B Shift: 6pm-6am M-W every other Thursday

Coating C Shift: 6am-6pm Fri-Sun every other Thursday

Coating D Shift: 6pm-6am Fri-Sun every other Thursday

Finishing 2nd Shift: 2pm-10pm M-F

Finishing 3rd Shift: 10pm-6am M-F

Shipping 2nd Shift: 2pm-10pm

Shipping 3rd Shift: 10pm-6am

 

Job Summary

The Production Operator is responsible for leading machine set-ups and changeovers problem-solving making decisions on machine adjustments and inspecting and packaging finished products to customer addition the production operator will be responsible for operating various coating finishing and/or powered industrial vehicles to move inbound and outbound products.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential functions may include but are not limited to: 

  • Perform routine set-up and changeover of machines making adjustments as needed to process operations accordingly.

  • Run orders per product specifications and standard practices. This may include sorting labeling and packaging products per customer specifications quality requirements and standard practices

  • Perform tests and check products routinely for multiple characteristics using standard measuring tools tape measures etc. 

  • Understand and implement quality standards and procedures

  • Meet production schedules and program production sequences for optimal productivity. 

  • Follow standard operating procedures and specifications or instructions of higher-level technical personnel and monitor meters gauges valves flow ratios temperatures pressures and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.

  • Maintain production records and logs of equipment and product performance.

  • Maintain the work area with necessary supplies to complete processes

  • Operate heavy equipment to move load and ship material and/or finished products throughout the manufacturing environment. 

  • Support inventory accuracy by completing cycle counts and correcting discrepancies to achieve business goals. 

  • Assist and support other team members in meeting department and site goals. Participate and share in performing all tasks necessary to run the facility.  

  • Contribute and participate in team decision-making processes including problem solving and continuous improvement efforts. Provide support in project work and other special requests.

  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner


Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3 years of relevant manufacturing work experience

  • Must be able to follow written and oral instruction

  • Must prioritize safety in every aspect of the working environment adhering to established safety practices policies and procedures

  • Must be able and willing to work overtime including short-notice requests

  • Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds stand and move around for extended periods

Physical Requirements:

  • Movement: May require the ability to stand/walk for up to 80% of your shift with frequent pushing pulling bending reaching and squatting 50% of the time.

  • Lifting: May require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds 50% of your shift.

  • Environment: May require being comfortable working in an environment with varying temperatures.
