Housley Group - Recruiting Manager Underground Utilities
Location: San Angelo Employment Type: Full-Time Department: Talent Acquisition (Human Resources)
About the Role
Housley Group is seeking a dependable organized Recruiting Manager to perform our hiring efforts in the underground utilities and construction industry. This role is essential in helping us attract field crews equipment operators laborers project staff and office personnel as we continue to grow. You will ensure our hiring process runs smoothly while delivering a positive experience for candidates and hiring managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule interviews and coordinate hiring steps for field and office positions (Operators Laborers CDL Drivers Foremen Project Managers etc.).
- Post job openings to job boards trade sites and local resources.
- Maintain accurate data and workflows.
- Communicate regularly with candidates regarding status interviews and onboarding requirements.
- Assist with candidate sourcing through online platforms local career centers vocational schools and trade programs.
- Support hiring managers by preparing interview packets screening resumes and ensuring timely follow-up.
- Help organize job fairs hiring events and community outreach for skilled trades recruitment.
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department.
Qualifications
- 12 years of experience in recruiting HR or administrative coordination (construction or utilities experience a plus).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage high-volume hiring.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- High attention to detail and follow-through in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Google Workspace or similar tools.
- Ability to work with field leadership and adapt to a dynamic jobsite-driven schedule.
Preferred Skills
- Experience hiring skilled trades or heavy civil/construction positions.
- Knowledge of DOT requirements safety certifications and trade licensing.
- Willing to travel and interact with local schools targeted vocational schools and colleges.
- Positive energetic and people-oriented
