Position Purpose:

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Python Backend Developer to join our Engineering this role you will leverage your expertise in backend development web scraping DevOps and automation to build secure scalable and high-performing applications. You will work on modern architectures such as microservices serverless computing and RESTful APIs while contributing to automation CI/CD and cloud-driven development processes.

Education & Professional Qualification:

Degree(s)/Major(s):

• Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field from a reputable institution.
• Relevant certifications (e.g. Django Flask AWS DevOps tools) are a strong plus.

Experience:

• 2-4 years of proven experience in backend development using Django and Flask.
• Proven experience with FastAPI for building high-performance APIs and microservices.
• Solid experience with web scraping techniques and tools (e.g. BeautifulSoup Scrapy Selenium etc.).
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools cloud technologies and automation frameworks.

Responsibilities:

Web Development & API Design:

• Design and develop robust scalable web applications using Django.
• Build lightweight optimized applications using Flask for rapid deployment.
• Develop high-performance APIs and microservices using FastAPI to meet high scalability and speed requirements.
• Build integrate and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless data exchange between services and clients.

Web Scraping & Automation:

• Implement and manage web scraping solutions using tools like BeautifulSoup Scrapy and Selenium to extract data from various web sources.
• Automate data collection processes to enhance business intelligence reporting and data-driven decision-making.
• Manage and optimize scraping pipelines for efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure the ethical and legal use of web scraping methods while respecting website terms of service.

DevOps & Automation:

• Manage infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform Ansible or AWS CloudFormation.
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins GitLab CI or GitHub Actions to ensure seamless deployment workflows.
• Implement automated testing with PyTest Unittest or other testing frameworks to ensure code quality and stability.
• Work with cloud services (AWS GCP Azure) to implement scalable secure infrastructure solutions.

Backend Architecture & Microservices:

• Develop scalable microservices using FastAPI Flask and other modern frameworks.
• Design and optimize databases using SQLAlchemy Django ORM or other relational and NoSQL database solutions.
• Implement serverless solutions with AWS Lambda Google Cloud Functions or similar cloud platforms.
• Architect systems with a focus on scalability high availability and performance.

Custom Software Development:

• Build tailored software solutions to address business needs and challenges.
• Modernize legacy systems by migrating to newer technologies and architectures.
• Integrate diverse systems and services into cohesive scalable digital ecosystems.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Django Flask and FastAPI.
• Extensive experience in web scraping using tools such as BeautifulSoup Scrapy Selenium or similar technologies.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API development and integration.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools (Terraform Jenkins AWS etc.).
• Expertise in database management and ORM frameworks (SQLAlchemy Django ORM).
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and serverless computing.
• Knowledge of task automation distributed systems and data extraction techniques.
• Ability to develop scalable secure and high-performing backend systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and code quality.
• Excellent communication time management and documentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g. frontend developers designers).

Nice to Have:

• Prior experience with chatbot development conversational AI or virtual assistants.
• Experience with frameworks like LangGraph or similar agentic AI tools.
• Experience with workflow automation tools like n8n Zapier or Make.
