Job Title: DB Developer (PL/SQL)

Experience: 45 Years (5 Years also acceptable)
Location: Chennai / Hyderabad

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Database Developer with strong expertise in PL/SQL who can quickly understand the existing Validata codebase and contribute effectively within a short time. Prior experience in the Life Sciences domainincluding areas such as Contracts Plans Products and Pharmacy Masteris an added advantage but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

Understand analyze and enhance existing PL/SQL code within the Validata platform.
Develop and optimize stored procedures functions views cursors and temporary table operations.
Perform debugging troubleshooting and performance tuning of database components.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams for requirement understanding and solution design.
Ensure high-quality coding standards modularity and maintainability in all deliverables.

Required Skills

PL/SQL Fundamentals

Strong knowledge of:

Procedures and Views
Functions
Loops and Cursors
Temporary Table Operations
Index usage and management
Debugging techniques

Performance Tuning

Modularity improvements
Index and partition optimization
Query tuning execution plans and hints
Efficient exception handling

Good to Have

Experience with any Unit Testing (UT) framework for PL/SQL

Preferred Experience

4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in PL/SQL development
Exposure to Life Sciences domain (optional but beneficial)
