Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and innovative Sous Chef to join our culinary team in Jeddah Saudi Arabia. As the secondincommand in our kitchen you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of food quality and service excellence.

  • Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and food production
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and implement new menu items
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Manage inventory control costs and minimize waste
  • Train mentor and supervise kitchen staff to maintain efficient operations
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Participate in menu planning and pricing strategies
  • Maintain quality control for all food items leaving the kitchen
  • Assist in creating and implementing kitchen standards and procedures
  • Handle guest inquiries and special requests professionally
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment

Qualifications :

  • Culinary Diploma or equivalent qualification in culinary arts
  • Minimum 4 years of progressive management experience in a luxury hotel kitchen or similar highend establishment
  • Fluent in English both verbal and written; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
  • Extensive knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques
  • Proficiency in menu planning cost control and inventory management
  • Strong problemsolving abilities and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in using computer systems including Microsoft Office suite
  • Current food safety and sanitation certification
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
  • Physical stamina to work long hours in a fastpaced kitchen environment
  • Passion for culinary excellence and customer satisfaction
  • Adaptability to work in a multicultural environment
