Job description and responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated and detailoriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide support to our dental team and ensure a smooth and efficient workflow in the clinic. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills a strong work ethic and a commitment to patient care.
- Prepare patients for treatments and procedures by taking medical histories and vital signs.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments ensuring the comfort of the patient.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and posttreatment care.
- Sterilize and prepare instruments and equipment for dental procedures.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (Xrays) as directed by the dentist.
- Assist with the administration of anesthesia and pain control as necessary.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental offices calendar.
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality.
- Process billing and insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor and order dental supplies and materials as needed.
- Ensure the dental operatory and waiting areas are clean and organized.
