Job Summary

Cost Accountant

The Cost Accountant is responsible for managing and analyzing all financial data related to operational costs including food and beverage expenses employee facilities maintenance and other clubrelated costs. This role provides financial insights to help the management team optimize operations control costs and maintain profitability while ensuring the best guest experience.

  • Monitor and analyze operational costs in key areas such as food and beverage facility maintenance and amenities.
  • Prepare and present cost reports regularly highlighting variances and providing actionable recommendations to management.
  • Track performance against budgeted costs and identify costsaving opportunities.
  • Assist in the development and management of the annual budget for various departments.
  • Oversee inventory of food beverages and other supplies ensuring optimal stock levels.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to streamline operations and reduce costs without compromising service quality.
  • Ensure that all cost accounting practices comply with internal policies industry standards and local regulations.
  • Support internal audits and assist with the preparation for external audits.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions and maintain a strong system of internal controls.
  • Provide financial data and cost recommendations to assist in decisionmaking for menu pricing event planning and resource allocation.
  • Prepare monthly quarterly and annual cost reports for management.
  • Maintain accurate financial records related to all operations and ensure that they align with overall financial reports.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Hospitality Management or related field.
  • 24 years of experience in cost accounting preferably in the hospitality leisure or beach club industry.
  • Familiarity with hospitality management software systems (e.g. POS systems accounting software).
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles especially in food and beverage and hospitality settings.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with multiple departments.
