About the Role
As a Assistant Kitchen Chief Steward you will play a crucial role in our team contributing to the overall guest experience and ensuring operational excellence. This role is ideal for a professional with a passion for cleanliness hygiene organization leadership and luxury hospitality.
What Youll Do
Key Responsibility 1: Oversee the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas including floors walls cooking equipment exhaust systems refrigerators and storage areas strictly adhering to HACCP and local health codes.
Key Responsibility 2: Monitor dishwashing machine temperatures chemical usage and preventative maintenance schedules to ensure optimal operation and sanitation effectiveness.
Key Responsibility 3: Manage the disposal of food waste and refuse in compliance with environmental and hygienic standards.
Key Responsibility 4: Assist in scheduling supervising and motivating the Stewarding Team.
Key Responsibility 5: Foster a positive and safe working environment ensuring all staff are equipped with and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
What Were Looking For
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a stewarding or back-of-house supervisory role preferably in a high-volume hotel resort or restaurant.
Skills: Ability to supervise motivate and train a diverse team under pressure.
Other Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy equipment or supplies.
