Intervention Teaching Assistant Targeted Literacy and Numeracy (KS2/KS3) Cornwall
A rural secondary academy serving the Bodmin Moor area of Cornwall is seeking an academically strong Intervention Teaching Assistant to focus exclusively on raising attainment in core subjects.
Intervention Teaching Assistant required.
Fixed-term contract initially (until July 2026) with potential for renewal.
Focus entirely on running small-group intervention sessions for Maths and English (KS2/KS3 level content).
Ideal for a graduate considering teaching or a specialist subject enthusiast.
This role does not involve general classroom TA duties but is dedicated to small group and one-to-one booster sessions outside the main classroom using pre-prepared materials. Success is measured by the progress made by the targeted students.
Requirements and Qualifications
Strong academic background (Degree or A-Level equivalent) in English or Maths.
Experience tutoring or running small-group academic interventions.
Excellent ability to motivate and break down complex concepts into simple steps.
