Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) to join our team in Sandwell. This is a fantastic chance to expand your skills and work alongside a highly supportive team of clinicians across both local and extended emergency care settings.
Tasks
Provide medications (oral or injectable) as appropriate.
Perform plastering suturing and wound management procedures.
Formulate treatment referral and discharge plans independently.
Work confidently as the first point of contact in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold high standards of patient care.
Requirements
Education & Qualifications
You must have one of the following:
- Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice
OR HEE ACP Digital Badge / RCN Credentialing
OR Level 6/7 in Minor Illness and Level 6/7 in Minor Injury
OR Level 6/7 qualification specific to Urgent and Emergency Care
Desirable:
- V300 Independent Prescribing qualification (optional but preferred)
Mandatory Training (Required or Willing to Complete):
- IRMER Training (every 5 years)
- Interpretation of Images / Red-Dot Course (every 5 years)
- Plastering
- Suturing
- Wound Assessment & Management
Essential Requirements
- First Level Registered Nurse (NMC ECP) must hold or be in process of obtaining Full NMC Registration.
- Minimum 2 years experience in Emergency Urgent Care or Minor Injuries settings.
- Strong understanding of autonomous practice in minor illness/urgent care environments.
- Ability to triage (desirable).
- Satisfactory Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain).
- Must not require sponsorship.
- Valid passport (British or non-British).
- Right to Work documentation:
- British citizens: Valid British passport
- Non-British citizens: Share Code valid passport/ID
- Up-to-date mandatory training and clinical competencies.
