Title: Surgical Technologist (OR Tech / CST)
Location: Anchorage AK
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights 3x12-Hour (18:30 07:00) Monday Wednesday
Job Responsibilities: -
Provide skilled surgical scrub support for a wide range of procedures including orthopedic (total joints fracture care) neurosurgery (craniotomy spinal surgery) trauma robotics bariatrics pediatrics gynecology general surgery and laparoscopic cases.

Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and ensure proper functioning setup and handling of surgical instruments equipment and supplies.

Anticipate surgeon needs during complex cases such as Level I trauma orthopedic trauma neuro trauma and advanced robotic procedures.

Assist with preparation of the operating room including sterile field creation instrumentation setup and equipment troubleshooting.

Collaborate closely with circulating nurses surgeons anesthesia providers and interdisciplinary teams to support safe and efficient operative workflows.

Support endoscopic laparoscopic and robotic procedures across multiple specialties.
-
Participate in call rotation if required and respond appropriately to emergency and trauma cases.

Provide patient care support for all age groups including neonates pediatrics adults and geriatrics.
Required Skills & Experience: -
Minimum 2 years of recent surgical technologist experience.

Demonstrated proficiency in orthopedics neurosurgery trauma and robotics.

Experience in Level I trauma settings.

Ability to work across high-acuity specialties including general surgery ENT urology plastics vascular gynecology podiatry bariatrics ophthalmology and endoscopic procedures.

Competency in a wide range of surgical procedures including (but not limited to):
-
Neuro: ALIF craniotomy cervical fusion lumbar fusion XLIF laminectomy/discectomy

Ortho: total joints fracture repair arthroscopy spinal fusion
-
General: appendectomy cholecystectomy colon resection Whipple laparoscopic procedures
-
GYN: hysterectomies (open vaginal laparoscopic) D&C tubal ligations
-
Urology: cystoscopy nephrectomy prostatectomy
-
Robotics: colorectal gynecologic urologic orthopedic neurological robotic cases
-
Vascular: carotid endarterectomy fem-pop bypass abdominal aortic aneurysm repair*
-
Plastics: mastectomy with reconstruction* microvascular free flap*
-
ENT: tonsillectomy tracheostomy sinus procedures*
*Preferred but not required where marked.

Experience working in general OR trauma OR ambulatory OR and podiatry settings.

Ability to meet high-acuity surgical demands and respond to emergent OR needs efficiently.
Required Certifications & Licenses: -
BLS (Basic Life Support) Required

NBSTSA (CST) or NCCT Preferred

Valid surgical technologist credential meeting state requirements

Ability to obtain and maintain relevant state licensure/registration (pending license accepted per assignment guidelines)
