Job Summary

McLaren Medical Group - Macomb seeks a Locum Cardiothoracic Surgery physician to provide coverage from November 24 to February 27.
Facility Address: 1000 Harrington Blvd. Mount Clemens MI 48043

Job Details:
Coverage required: Monday to Friday/ Saturday and Sunday - Onsite 7am - 4pm at the clinic
Dates required: November 24 2025 to February 27 2026
Coverage: Cardiothoracic surgical for cardiovascular and trauma services
Reason for Locum Coverage: Recruitment Gap
Patients per day: 5
Call is from when clinic is over until following morning.
Full Cath lab capabilities
Cardiothoracic surgical service suite
Fully staffed clinic
RNFA and APP coverage

Cardiothoracic Surgery Procedures/Skills:
Aneurysm repairs
Thoracic surgery
Arterial bypass procedures
Peripheral vascular procedures
Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repairs
Bypass surgery
Current EHR in use: Cerner

Rates to Submit:
Orientation - 1/2 of hourly rate for orientation and training
24 hours on call
Holiday 24 hour on call - 1.5x
Call Back
Holiday Call Back hourly
Conversion Fee

Expenses:
Does NOT reimburse Med Staff Fees
No lodging booked through 3rd party websites i.e. Expedia kayak etc.
McLaren is tax exempt and will not reimburse taxes on lodging
Malpractice must be included in rates
Orientation rate is 1/2 the hourly rate
Car fuel mileage and hotel are covered with a $150 cap (including taxes).

MUST have active MI license - REQUIRED
Board Certified - REQUIRED
MUST already be internally credentialed with the agency - REQUIRED
NO malpractice history clean background - REQUIRED
Local to Michigan - Highly Preferred
