Major Responsibilities:
Manufacture and measure light-shaping optics working with optical polymers and specialized equipment to measure physical characteristics and light output
Closely follow documented work instructions asking questions as needed to successfully complete tasks.
Identify and document non-conformities in product or process
Structure the workday by prioritizing organizing and managing interruptions
Communicate effectively (both verbal and written)
Work with manufacturing databases manufacturing execution system and Microsoft Office applications
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspace
Comply with all company and department specific safety regulations
Required:
3-5 yrs. experience working in a manufacturing environment
Comfort working with MS Excel and Word
Desire to learn new skills and adapt to changing business requirements
Ability to follow detailed procedures once trained
Attention to detail and ability to concentrate on tasks for extended periods
Demonstrated willingness and ability to work independently and productively and to accept direction
Organized self-starter motivated team player with the ability to prioritize work.
Positive and productive interactions with peers
Ability to stand for extended periods
Able and willing to work in a cleanroom environment
Able to lift up-to 50 lbs.
Punctual and reliable attendance
Desirable:
Precision assembly experience optical component fabrication experience or Micro-optic replication experience.
A.A.S degree in Engineering Applied science Optics or equivalent experience.
Experience with manufacturing execution system Oracle solidworks.
