Summary:
-
Candidates will work in a low-volume assembly environment for large-scale platforms ensuring precision efficiency and adherence to production standards.
-
Apply industrial engineering concepts approaches and techniques to products processes and services.
-
Develop plant and equipment layouts capacity plans accident-prevention measures and workflow sequencing.
-
Design maintain and optimize production systems integrating design supply base facilities equipment and personnel.
-
Conduct workflow analysis and develop models databases and spreadsheets for data analysis and metrics tracking.
-
Research design and implement process improvements to enhance schedule performance reduce costs and improve quality.
-
Support execution planning utilizing project management scheduling and shop load practices.
-
Provide support in production supply chain logistics performance visibility and recovery planning.
-
Ensure compliance with industry safety design and ergonomic standards.
Requirements:
-
Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field.
-
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (Bachelors or Masters) in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry.
-
Experience in Industrial Engineering or similar (Production/Manufacturing Engineering).
-
Typically 3 years of related experience.
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience with low-volume assembly on large-scale platforms (rotorcraft military aircraft etc.).
-
Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma experience.
-
Experience with Discrete Event Simulation Software (Simio ProModel).
-
Experience with Constraint-Based Scheduling Software (Aurora MS Project).
-
Job scheduling and sequencing experience.
-
Proficiency with NX/Unigraphics or other 3D CAD tools.
-
Experience with APQP and PFMEA.
-
Familiarity with Teamcenter tools (PDM Process Simulate Manufacturing Process Planner).
-
ABET accreditation preferred but not required.
