Client is seeking a motivated proactive Portfolio Optimization Professional to support operational performance and value creation across its portfolio of middle-market U.S. businesses. This role requires extensive travel and significant on-site engagement with senior managers staff and operations across 18 portfolio companies.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong operational strategy experience exceptional analytical skills and a passion for improving business performance across diverse industries.
Key Responsibilities Operational StrategyPartner with leadership teams across portfolio companies to evaluate and enhance operational processes.
Drive efficiency optimize workflows and increase profitability across multiple business units.
Lead strategic initiatives such as marketing assessments digital transformation go-to-market strategy operational due diligence and performance optimization.
Manage projects end-to-end from scoping to execution to final recommendations.
Identify revenue-growth opportunities cost-reduction levers and margin-enhancement strategies.
Drive operational excellence and develop initiatives that deliver measurable results.
Develop and implement KPIs dashboards and performance frameworks to monitor portfolio company progress.
Lead supply-chain optimization workflow improvement organizational streamlining and waste-reduction projects.
Provide hands-on guidance to on-site management teams.
Collaborate with finance teams to evaluate financial statements forecasts and business plans.
Build financial models to support investment decisions valuations and scenario analyses.
Prepare high-quality presentations and reports that synthesize findings insights risks and recommendations for PCM leadership and Portfolio Company leaders.
Support the development of junior team members and interns fostering a collaborative high-performance environment.
MBA or advanced degree preferred.
4 years of operational or strategy consulting experience or private equity portfolio operations experience.
Demonstrated success in problem-solving optimizing business operations and improving performance.
Ability to work independently and integrate seamlessly with management teams on-site.
Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in financial modeling and modern data analysis tools.
Highly proactive results-driven and intellectually curious.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization.
