EMPLOYEE REFERRAL PROGRAM:

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position works with the Unit Manager to oversee the certification and renewal processes for the Defensive Driving and Confidential Intermediary Programs. As the programs subject matter expert this position serves as the primary point of contact for applicants courts defensive driving schools instructors confidential intermediaries and the public. The role supports statewide compliance efforts and assists the Unit Manager in monitoring adherence to statutes court rules and the Arizona Code of Judicial Administration (ACJA). This position also prepares recommendations for consideration by the Defensive Driving and Confidential Intermediary Boards and supports program improvements and system enhancements.

This position will conduct background checks for all applicants and for certification and renewal review proposed schools curricula for accuracy and required components conduct initial training for newly certified defensive driving schools and staff statewide committees and workgroups focused on improving Defensive Driving program administration and traffic safety issues. This position will also identify and recommend needed revisions to administrative code procedures and program protocol and participate in division-wide projects committees and initiatives supporting improvements in traffic case processing and statewide court services.

After an initial period of at least three months in person this position may offer the ability to work remotely up to two days per week based upon the departments business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program qualified employer.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
This successful candidate will have a bachelors degree in public administration justice studies behavioral or social sciences or related field and a minimum of three years of experience in a government or regulatory environment. Directly related experience may substitute for a degree. Strong written and verbal communication skills including interviewing techniques and preparation of formal reports skills producing timely accurate evaluations documentation and board-ready materials and high proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite database systems and modern communication platforms. This position also requires the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects meet tight deadlines and maintain organized well-documented processes exercise sound judgement work independently maintain confidentiality and apply analytical skills in high-stress or sensitive situations. Additionally this position requires the ability to work effectively with applicants school owners judicial officers staff attorneys community partners and the public.

Travel level: negligible

SELECTION PROCESS:

This is a Regular Full-time Exempt position.
