The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Manager (Level L) to join our dynamic Space Launch Systems (SLS) team at our Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans LA.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manages employees and first-level managers performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines
- Develops and executes integrated departmental plans policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies goals and objectives
- Acquires resources for department activities provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes
- Manages develops and motivates employees and first-level managers
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- More than 5 years of experience in a leadership role (i.e. manager project manager team lead etc.)
- More than 3 years of experience supporting Operations Materials Management and/or Supply Chain functions in a production environment.
- More than 1 year of experience in an aerospace fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- More than 1 year of experience in implementing lean methodologies and productivity improvements.
- Experience with Conflict Management and Conflict Resolution.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelors Degree or higher

Additional Information:
