About us

The Institute of Molecular Biology gGmbH (IMB) is a Centre of Excellence for Life Sciences funded by the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation and the State of Rhineland-Palatinate and located within the campus of Mainz University in Germany. IMBs research focuses on epigenetics chromatin dynamics RNA biology DNA repair ageing and related topics.

The position

The NextGen Training Programme (NexTPro) at IMB offers outstanding and enthusiastic Bachelor or Master students the opportunity to join one of our research groups for a research placement including your thesis or Erasmus project.

Tasks and responsibilities

Working in our research groups you will acquire excellent practical skills and hands-on trainingfrom leading scientists in techniques such as CRISPR/Cas genome editing next-generation sequencing (NGS) and modeling of gene addition you will have the opportunity to attend lectures and seminars by scientists who are leaders in their field and training in valuable professional skills e.g. presentation skills.
