Description
As a Locum Anesthesiologist you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality anesthetic care in various clinical settings. Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Assess patient medical histories and determine appropriate anesthesia plans
- Manage post-anesthesia care and address any complications
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Stay current with anesthesiology best practices and protocols
- Provide support and guidance to junior medical staff as needed
- Participate in departmental meetings and continuous education initiatives
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Anesthesiology or relevant specialty
- Associate level experience in anesthesiology
- Current state medical license and DEA registration
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and patient care standards
Schedule: Monday-Friday 10-hour shifts
Weekday and weekend call rotation
Caseload: General OB some neuro minimal pediatrics
Epidurals and neuro cases are required
1:4 medical supervision
Must be able to practice independently as well
EMR: Epic
Board certification required
Paid travel & expenses
