Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team and perform diagnostic repair and preventive maintenance on diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude a solid understanding of diesel systems and the ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repair
- Diagnose repair and maintain diesel engines transmission systems hydraulic systems and related components.
- Conduct routine service oil changes filter replacements and fluid checks on fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical electrical and emission system failures using diagnostic tools and software.
- Perform DOT inspections (if certified) and ensure all vehicles meet regulatory standards.
Equipment & Tools
- Utilize shop tools diagnostic equipment and heavy machinery safely and effectively.
- Maintain an organized clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic or equivalent vocational training.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and mechanical systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
- Own basic set of mechanic tools.
