R&D Mechanical Engineering Intern Program Offering
Mechanical Research & Development(R&D) Engineering Intern:
- Completing an assigned engineering project during the term of the internship
- Contributing to several ongoing R&D engineering projects
- Experience with and exposure to supporting the Project Management Life Cycle including:
- Preparation of project specifications and requirements
- Project schedule coordination and utilization of Project Management tools
- Project execution project closing activities and sustainability initiatives
- Valuable insight into large-scale manufacturing facilities equipment and safe working practices
- 3D Modeling or Simulation Modeling to predict process/material interactions
- Exposure to Sorting conveying combustion sanding fluid and pneumatic transfer systems
What will make you successful
- Outside-of-the-Box thinker
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Capability to build and nurture relationships with other functions within AWI
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products particularly Excel Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- A track record of leadership through work school or extra-curricular activities
Required Qualifications
- Must be currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) at an ABET accredited programANDbe a maximum of 24 months away from graduation
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (cumulative and within major)

- Autodesk 3D Modeling
- Autodesk Simulation experience
