Join our Finance & Advice team as an Assistant Financial Control Accountant in Sydney.

Were hiring for one permanent full-time role and one full-time contract role until June 2026.

Be part of a team that ensures strong financial processes and controls across the this role youll support month-end close procedures balance sheet reconciliations financial reporting and continuous process improvement initiatives.

What Youll Do:

• Prepare monthly journals and identify opportunities for process standardisation and improvement.
• Oversee reconciliations and journals ensuring accuracy and timely completion according to guidelines.
• Escalate high-risk issues promptly to senior team members.
• Support statutory regulatory and management reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet month-end deliverables.
• Review Reconciliation Control reports and work with stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Assist with audit activities and liaise with external and internal auditors as required.
• Support payment authorisations in line with the Delegated Authority Policy.
• Drive innovation process simplification and automation initiatives.
• Promote knowledge sharing and contribute to a supportive high-performing team environment.

What Youll Bring:

• Recognised degree in Accounting (desired).
• CA or CPA accreditation (or working towards) preferred.
• 2 years accounting experience ideally with General Ledger regulatory and financial reporting in large computerised systems.
• Strong analytical skills attention to detail and numeracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas pivot tables data analysis) and Word.
• Experience with Oracle or similar general ledger systems preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment maintain confidentiality and meet critical deadlines.
• Self-motivated with a collaborative approach and a keen interest in learning and sharing knowledge.
