Position Summary

Department:School of Graduate and Professional Studies

Reports To:Manjula Joseph Associate Professor

The Research Assistant will be responsible for assisting with research associated with the Dual Enrollment Math Bridge program. This position is a grant funded position through June 2026.

Essential Functions

Culture:

Duties:
  • Search for and review published literature on a research topic
  • Attend team or project meetings
  • Collect enter and preserve data
  • Schedule conduct and transcribe interviews
  • Assist in analyzing data
  • Collaborate with team members
  • Write reports to summarize data and the implications of the results
  • Organize and maintain research databases with integrity and confidentiality
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of research findings
  • Help prepare reports or presentations
  • Complete tasks timely with work that is comprehensive complete and accurate
  • Communicates clearly listens attentively and seeks to understand others
  • Collaborates productively with colleagues of varying skillset
  • Other job duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

  • Undergraduate degree in any field
  • Strong analytical organizational and communication skills are essential
Preferred:
  • Familiarity with research methodologies and software tools such as SPSS R or similar

Environmental Conditions:
  • Indoors in a normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise dust fumes vibrations and temperature changes at least eighty percent (80%) of the time.
  • Frequent computer use at a workstation up to eight hours per day.
  • Frequently work at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
  • Drive personal or University vehicles to appointments.
  • Public contact position requiring professional apparel personal hygiene and grooming.
