Certified Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists (1099)

Locations:White River Junction VT.

Hours:8 or 12-hour shifts 40 hours per week. Schedule is based on need of the facility. No holiday work or overtime.

Pay:$42.53 per hour.

Description:

  • Technologists must have knowledge of anatomy and physiology including location appearance and functioning of the major and minor systems susceptible to radiographic illumination and knowledge of changes to systems and organs caused by common medical and surgical diseases.
  • Specific knowledge and training in the location appearance and function of the various major and minor systems susceptible to radiological illumination; to interpret the examination request accurately; to understand the functioning and inter-relationship of the various organs; to use the methods and techniques which will identify organs appearing on the digital display monitor or on film and the various stages of the examination to judge the acceptability of the image and/or scan for diagnostic use and to emphasize the aspects of interest to the DRT.
  • Experience in procedures such as IVP GI series Modified Barium Swallow barium and air contrasted barium enema exams.
  • The ability to produce radiographic studies that are used in medical diagnosis and interpreted by medical officers to locate injuries foreign bodies pathological conditions or lesions within the body.
  • Experience assisting with fluoroscopy and performing imaging
  • Experience preparing and administering contrast media and medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Knowledge in computerized and digital radiography (CR/DR) and picture archiving and communications systems (PACS).
  • Experience with bone densitometry (client)/DEXA examinations on the lumbar spine hips and forearms.

Qualifications:

  • Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (DRTs) must be certified in general radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Must have a maintain a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Must have 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technician.
