Job Description
Under general supervision the Quality and Safety Program Coordinator provides full support to the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) Program within the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program for the Perioperative ICCE/Services. The coordinator will report to the Perioperative Quality and Safety Manager II in support of MUSCs academic research and healthcare missions. The coordinator will assist with leading the development implementation and sustainment of the ERAS program and pathways across surgical specialties. Sustainment initiatives include building data reports collecting relevant quality data analyzing and assessing data working with relevant stakeholders on disseminating data and information benchmarking performance and leading multidisciplinary teams to improve performance based on goals. This position presents performance to relevant oversight and governance groups bridging the gaps between multidisciplinary teams ensuring alignment of the ERAS program using data and evidence-based practice to develop protocols that are integrated into surgical workflows to optimize patient outcomes improve patient experience and reduce variability in care.
