About the Role

Our Enrolled Nurse deliver nursing care and health education across the life span to health consumers in community residential or hospital settings.

You will:

  • Contribute to nursing assessments care planning implementation and evaluation of care for health consumers and/or families/whanau.
  • Assist health consumers with the activities of daily living observe changes in health consumers conditions and report these to the registered nurse administer medicines and undertake other nursing care responsibilities appropriate to their assessed competence
  • Work in a team in acute settings with a registered nurses enrolled nurses and healthcare assistants
  • Be accountable for their nursing actions and practice competently in accordance with legislation to their level of knowledge and experience
  • Work in partnership with health consumers families/whanau and multidisciplinary teams.

Youll also be a confident communicator with a friendly demeanour and someone who values patient centred return youll gain great work experience in a multidisciplinary team and the opportunity to develop your skills in a variety of surgical specialties.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Be registered as an Enrolled Nurse under the HPCA Act 2003
  • Have a current Practising Certificate.
  • Have competency with te ao Māori tikanga and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
  • Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches particularly as they apply in health
