Job Summary
Seeking sharp mechanically-minded machine operators to run screw press machine.
Responsibilities
Operate and monitor industrial screw press machine to dewater organic waste.
Assist with cleaning rinsing and flushing equipment to ensure proper function
Support operation of compactors pumps and conveyors
Help with loading/unloading materials and keeping work areas clean
Tweak pressure and settings to ensure maximum efficiency
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues fast.
Requirements:
Experience with screw press machines extruders filter presses or centrifuges.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. work on your feet and bend/stoop
Comfortable in wet noisy smelly and fast-paced environments
Team player with good communication and attention to detail
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Able to work outdoors
Familiarity with pumps or water systems a plus
Pay Rate
- Starts at $18.50 per hour
Shift
- Monday to Friday
- 1pm to 9:30pm
- Must be able to work overtime
- Must be able to work weekends bi-weekly
