In this PACU role youll be responsible for: continuous monitoring of postanesthesia patients as they wake ensuring airway patency and stability adjusting analgesia and antiemetic plans and recognizing and responding to complications; collaborating with anesthesia and surgical teams to coordinate timely recovery milestones; documenting patient status and care plans clearly in records; facilitating safe discharges with appropriate instructions and referrals; leading or contributing to handoffs and debriefings to maintain continuity of care; and engaging in ongoing quality improvement initiatives that enhance recovery protocols and patient safety.
