HCA Healthcare Pathology Services and their West Florida Division is seeking an Associate Pathologist to be based at HCA Florida Blake Hospital which is located in Bradenton Florida about 45 miles south of Tampa in the Sarasota metropolitan Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton offers a unique opportunity to join a high-performing team in a vibrant coastal community. Among our top priorities is employing the best talent to advance care for our Candidates:AP/CP certification is requiredOver 2 years of practicing experience preferredProficiency in general surgical pathology clinical interpretations and must have recent experience performing frozen sectionsSubspecialty training or expertise in breast or lung pathologyActive Florida Medical License and/or FCVS is a plusPathology Volume/Cases:Volumes approximately 3100 surgical cases per year and 200 cytology cases per year 9 to 10 peripheral smears per week and less than 1 peripheral per weekProcedures 9 to 10 per week (frozen sections for sentinel nodes lungs ortho PMN counts skin brain)Blake has approximately 380 beds with a Level II Trauma Center and Burn Center.
