Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Team Leader to join our healthcare organization in Brooklyn NY. This leadership role is responsible for managing the full accounts payable cycle while supervising and supporting a team to ensure accuracy efficiency and compliance.

The ideal candidate brings strong AP leadership experience preferably within healthcare and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. You will collaborate closely with finance leadership and internal departments to streamline processes and maintain strong vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise the accounts payable team
Oversee full-cycle accounts payable including invoice processing approvals and payments
Ensure timely and accurate payment of vendors
Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and healthcare regulations
Resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries
Review and approve AP batches and reconciliations
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency
Train mentor and support AP team members

Qualifications:

Proven experience leading an accounts payable team
Healthcare accounting experience strongly preferred
Strong understanding of full-cycle accounts payable
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities
Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel
Strong communication and leadership skills
