What youll build:
You will be part of the Global Content Group an SAP unit that builds a very large RDF knowledge graph.
In your function you will:
- Contribute to a knowledge graph construction and consumption platform via conceptualization and implementation
- Work as an expert in a development team
- Conceptualize and execute the product research strategy of the group
- Translate academic findings into product engineering
- Maintain contacts within academia (universities professors)
- Supervise Bachelors theses Masters theses and academic research projects
- Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept implementations and transition them to product engineering
- Guide students in their research projects
- Communicate complexity to experts and the management
What you bring:
- PhD (or PhD close to completion) in computer science
- Strong scientific background with a strong track record of top venue publications (e.g. ELDB SIGMOD NeurIPS)
- Strong development skills particularly in Python
- Knowledge in cloud application development particularly Kubernetes
- Deep knowledge in data management and data modeling
- Very deep knowledge in RDF-based knowledge graphs particularly OWL ontologies and RDF
- Proven experience with neuro-symbolic AI systems
- Very strong communication skills in German and English

The Global Content Group (GCG) consolidates SAP business knowledge (so-called business content) and makes it available to SAP consultants partners and customers for transformation projects via various platforms such as Signavio Business Accelerator Hub or LeanIX. The GCG Enterprise Knowledge Graph serves as the central data source of GCG. It also provides the foundation for advanced AI initiatives.
