Bid Manager FACTs - GSI LAM
Drafting proposals/bids negotiating contracts and fulfilling contractual commitments and assessing commercial risks. It impacts approaches projects and programs in the functional area or the affected commercial organization and working methods. It impacts the quality efficiency and effectiveness of the in-house team. Guided by commercial practices and policies that can be shaped by the function. Possesses significant control/influence over commercial priorities. There is moderate autonomy within the function to enter into/sign commercial agreements. High levels of commercial judgment are required to achieve the necessary results.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop proposals; negotiate with clients; ensure transactions deliver value to shareholders; drive competitive pricing. May include compiling and submitting mandatory proposal documentation;
- Develop specialized knowledge of the latest business developments in their own area and communication skills to influence others. Contributes to the development of strategies and policies and ensures delivery within their area of responsibility;
- Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how their own area integrates with others; has practical knowledge of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market;
- Uses a high level of judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in projects product lines markets sales processes campaigns or clients. Takes a fresh perspective on existing solutions. Uses experience and specialized knowledge for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses various internal and limited external sources outside their own function to arrive at a decision;
- Actes as a resource for less experienced colleagues. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource needs. Explains difficult or confidential information; Works to reach a consensus. Development of persuasive skills is necessary to influence others on topics within the field.
Qualifications:
- Complete Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineer;
- Previous experience in the area;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills;
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems;
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects;
- Ability to document plan market and execute programs;
- Established project management skills.
