About the Role

Ventia is one of Australasias largest infrastructure service providers and our Telecommunications division are seeking a Resources & Capacity Planner to take ownership of workforce planning and ensure projects meet critical KPIs for safety and service.

As a Resources & Capacity Planner you will play a key role in shaping resource strategies for a high-demand project. This position requires a forward-thinking approach anticipating workforce needs leveraging data insights and implementing plans that optimize resource utilization and deliver on performance objectives.

This is a Permanent Full-Time position and can be based out of our offices in Victoria New South Wales or Queensland.

Role responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute resource planning strategies to ensure alignment with project KPIs.
  • Forecast workforce requirements and design rosters and shift schedules to meet operational demands.
  • Prepare contingency plans for both planned and unplanned absences ensuring timely replacement and minimal disruption.
  • Address resource challenges by reallocating staff adjusting priorities or deploying additional personnel as needed.
  • Monitor analyse and evaluate resource performance data SLAs and progress against KPIs to support informed decision-making and optimal resource utilization.
  • Build and maintain strong communication networks to enable effective information flow and timely responses that support project objectives and enhance customer experience.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximize efficiency and resource effectiveness.
  • Ensure all work is undertaken to a compliant standard and in accordance with the client contract.

About You

To be successful in your application you will have extensive experience working in resource planning forecasting and capacity management accompanied with:

  • Strong ability to engage and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders to ensure continuous operations.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating field staff including in remote locations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP Pivot Tables) with expertise in data analysis and handling large datasets.
  • Practical experience using Power BI for reporting and performance insights.
  • Excellent ability to influence key stakeholders including subcontractor management.
  • Highly organized with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines.
