We are searching for an Aerospace Underwriter to form a key part of this this role you will help drive the growth of our aerospace portfolio with key brokers and clients while maintaining and developing a portfolio of existing accounts. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing group that values expertise innovation and teamwork where your contributions will help shape the future of aviation insurance at Chubb.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite new business and renewals in line with Chubbs underwriting guidelines budget and local business plan.
- Build maintain and develop a robust portfolio of existing and new aerospace accounts.
- Represent and promote the Chubb brand to brokers clients and internal stakeholdersacting as a true ambassador for our business.
- Collaborate with colleagues to shape underwriting strategy forecasts and portfolio management to achieve profitability targets.
- Deliver exceptional service to clients and internal business partners ensuring Chubbs reputation for quality and reliability is upheld.
- Maintain ongoing communication with internal teams and external partners to foster a culture of collaboration and shared success.
Qualifications
Skills and Experience:
- 18 months of aviation (underwriting/broking) or relevant market experience.
- Strong understanding of the insurance market with a proven track record of working with brokers and clients.
- Results-driven with the confidence to make decisions and work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
- Exceptional attention to detail organizational and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and Word.
- Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
- Committed to delivering high-quality service to clients and colleagues.
- ACII qualification (or working towards) preferred but not essential.
