About the role

We have an exciting full-time Permanent opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist OR senior registered nurse looking for that next step in their nursing career. Due to increased patient wait times to be seen by a specialist we are seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to alleviate this peak demand by working with the specialist and teams to provide increased capacity.

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist you will

  • Provide specialist oncology nursing care and expertise both in direct care delivery and to mentor staff so they gain oncology knowledge and skill.
  • Work across the organisation acting in the roles of clinician educator consultant researcher leader/change agent and care coordinator/case manager.
  • Rostered days Monday to Friday between 0800 and 1700 exact times to be negotiated.
  • Full training will be provided if you are not yet at a specialist nurse level and you may also be enrolled in a training programme for Registered Nurse to Clinical Nurse Specialist.

You will have

  • Eligible to work in NZ with current APC
  • Proven clinical credibility and experience in oncology/haematology nursing.
  • Excellent group facilitation skills
  • Advanced communication techniques such as conflict resolution diffusion and mediation skills.
  • Dynamic personality and great communication and time management skills.

Salary Range

This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the NZNO CEA and the salary will be in accordance with the RN Pay Scale between Step 3 $86519 and Step 7 $106739 pro-rata p.a OR DSN Pay Scale Grade 2 between Step 1 $116040 and Step 3 $127674 pro-rata p.a dependant on relevant experience.
