Job Summary

Tupton Primary and Nursery Academy are looking for a dedicated and career-driven candidate to join their busy team. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience whilst working towards a level 3 qualification.

Working week

Monday Friday

8.15am-3.30pm with 45 minute lunchbreak.

32.5 hours a week total

Wage

7.55 per hour

Early Years Educator level 3

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in delivering high quality early years education to children
Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote childrens development
Observe childrens progress and provide feedback to senior practitioners
Build positive relationships with children parents and staff
Ensure the childrens safety and well-being at all times following safeguarding policies and procedures
Maintain a clean safe and welcoming learning environment
Attend training sessions and complete coursework as part of the apprenticeship programme
Contribute to a team that fosters positive inclusive and engaging learning experiences

Skills and Attributes

A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development
Excellent verbal communication skills to interact effectively with children parents and colleagues
Ability to listen actively and respond appropriately to childrens needs and queries
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and follow guidance from experienced practitioners
A patient empathetic and caring nature
A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions
Previous experience or a keen interest in early years education (desirable but not essential)
A commitment to completing the apprenticeship programme and gaining qualifications
Understanding of basic safeguarding principles and a commitment to ensuring childrens safety and well-being
Ability to maintain a high standard of professional conduct including punctuality reliability and adherence to policies

Education and Qualifications

Maths and English at GCSE level A-C (4-9) or functional skills equivalent.
