Job Summary
Join our team at Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Part Time Lab Technician in our Substance Use Division (SUD) Lab! This role offers a base wage of $16.43$20.90/hour depending on experience and gives you the chance to support meaningful work in our in-house drug testing lab. Schedule: Sunday-Saturday (may include holidays) 7:45 AM-6:00 PM
Compensation: $16.49$20.90 DOE

What Youll Do as a Lab Technician
- Follow strict chain-of-custody protocols to maintain sample integrity
- Observe clients during urine sample collection to prevent tampering
- Analyze review and interpret test results based on SAMHSA guidelines
- Enter client information and lab results into the database with strict confidentiality
- Operate maintain and calibrate standard laboratory equipment
- Prepare solutions pipette samples and run controls as needed
- Support smooth daily lab operations and ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Biology or a related field OR a high school diploma/equivalent with two (2) years of related experience
- Ability to follow detailed lab procedures and maintain strict chain-of-custody standards
- Comfortable observing clients during specimen collection
- Strong attention to detail accuracy and confidentiality
- Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment and safety practices
- Ability to analyze and interpret test data according to regulatory guidelines
- Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase
