What Youll Do as a Lab Technician
- Follow strict chain-of-custody protocols to maintain sample integrity
- Observe clients during urine sample collection to prevent tampering
- Analyze review and interpret test results based on SAMHSA guidelines
- Enter client information and lab results into the database with strict confidentiality
- Operate maintain and calibrate standard laboratory equipment
- Prepare solutions pipette samples and run controls as needed
- Support smooth daily lab operations and ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Biology or a related field OR a high school diploma/equivalent with two (2) years of related experience
- Ability to follow detailed lab procedures and maintain strict chain-of-custody standards
- Comfortable observing clients during specimen collection
- Strong attention to detail accuracy and confidentiality
- Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment and safety practices
- Ability to analyze and interpret test data according to regulatory guidelines
- Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase
