POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing and facility equipment with a strong emphasis on electrical systems.
CORE FUNCTIONS
- Pull label and terminate wire and cabling for power and control circuits
- Bend conduit using hand electric hydraulic benders
- Run and install raceways including EMT Rigid and PVC (½4)
- Prepare and maintain control wiring diagrams and troubleshooting equipment
- Solid knowledge of PLCs VFDs circuits and electrical codes (NEC)
- Inspect and troubleshoot electrical systems components and related equipment according to safety codes.
- Analyze and repair motor and control systems commonly utilized in industrial and commercial settings.
- Comprehend electrical schematics blueprints and manuals.
- Exercise problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to solve problems.
- Industrial HVAC knowledge including troubleshooting and repair.
- Utilize advanced knowledge as required in diagnosing and repairing our more complex machines. This may include electrical/PLC mechanical welding machining hydraulics/pneumatics and conveyor systems.
- Collaborate with engineering to resolve maintenance issues improve equipment reliability review procedures and minimize equipment downtime through data-driven analysis.
- Manage the CMMS system creating work orders uploading documentation and updating parts.
- Assist with inventory cataloging parts inventory and ordering replacement parts and shop supplies.
- Mentor maintenance technician I employees on equipment and advanced manufacturing systems.
- Rebuild machines tools and heavy equipment & create special tools to assist with production (SH edit).
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required.
Previous forklift experience required; 5 years of experience preferred.
3 years of working with mechanical systems tools or machines required.
Required Licenses
- Electrical journeymans license preferred not required
Skills Abilities and Knowledge
- Basic computer skills ability to add subtract divide in all units of measure using whole numbers fractions and decimals.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- This position is subject to Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Visual Acuity

Working Conditions
